Elderly indigenous woman with small braids in her gray hair. She has a smile on her face that shows just the upper portion of her teeth. She has weathered skin and dark laughing eyes. There is a hat on her head made of 7 large orange flower buds sitting on a folded navy fabric with three silver coins sewn onto the cloth. 7 sets necklaces made of differently colored beads are around her neck.

Aging Grace-fully

Yes, more sun years have

come and gone

and perhaps for good old days you long

But there remains Love that never

steers you wrong

adding deeply resonating

notes to your heart’s song

as you

on your path

walk humbly along.
