Bethlehem Joy

The shepherds were Nobodys when the angel came

Nevertheless, it was God-ordained

that the lowest of low

would, in the end, go

Directly to the front of the line

And given the most honored seat

at the Table Divine.

The birth, in Bethlehem, of that baby boy

Heralded the promise of unspeakable joy.

First to the Jews
