Taking a Leap

In length, a tropical year is

Which adds up to an extra

24 hour stay

every four years

For me 

For you

And all those who count Gregorian Days,

the whole world through.

Some folks think of this day

as one free.

Extra time on the calendar

that next year they

won’t see.

They use it to catch up on things

they put off, not done
