As Is...
More than enough
As Is
Whether you’re a lamb,
a ram or a ewe
It’s never too late
To
change
your you-view
When I say that
it’s not because
I somehow don’t
understand you
Rather, it’s because I
have the same brain tape
called
“But, I’m Too ___________”
I’m too tongue-tied
or fat
to deserve anymore
than where I’m at
I’m too old and gray
to expect equal pay
or
I’m unlovable or unworthy
because I am gay
I’m too dumb to
make enough money
to move to a place
warm and sunny
or even to visit the land
where once flowed
milk and honey
But
Instead of “I’m too __________”
consider “I can…”
'cause you’re
the perfect creation
of The “I AM”
