A Defiant Resolution

Defiant Joy

Resolve to have “defiant joy” today

Not because things are going rosily your way

Or, as a country, a democracy we’ll stay

But because we know the antidote for fear

is the choice of Love

Always heart- near

and to whom

you and I are

ever so dear.
